Beyond Birth courses focus on supporting parental mental health and wellbeing in the postnatal period using a combination of mindful and wellbeing parenting tools. These sessions provide support, a listening ear, a safe space to share and to reflect. Together we explore different strategies and ideas which have been expertly blended by professionals to support your mental health and wellbeing as you transition into parenthood with a new baby. We will help you build resilience as you face new challenges and also enjoy those feel-good moments in your parenting journey.
What does the course entail?
Each week we cover a different theme, various techniques and reflections. Through mindfulness, journaling practice, affirmations, conversations we delve deep into these subjects to better understand and nurture ourselves, our babies and others in this new parenting journey.
Week 1: Nurture - self-care, self- love, healing, sleeping and resting.
Week 2: Emotions - vulnerability, crying, basic infant neuroscience.
Week 3: Connections - relationships & oxytocin.
Week 4: Healing - recovery, forgiveness, gratitude, pain management, expectation.
Week 5: Nourish - self, baby, mentally and using emotional language.
Week 6: Transformation - movement, moving on, acceptance, new habits.
